I used sky and Baltic Ocean with snowflake for highlights. I also added Tulle fastened with lace. Burlap Frantage in shabby blue, topped with a rolled zip flower, finshed the tag.

tag with no name
Hello I'm back again. This tag was inspired by the last one I made, see earlier post. I really enjoyed painting the pod looking flowers on JOFY 007 that I thought do some but in a different colour. I'm sorry I forgot to take pictures until finished. I completed the back ground in the same as before. One dry I stencilled the flowers in snowflake and then dried them ready for painting.
Spring Tag
Hello everyone, here's a spring Tag I made, using one of my favourate garden flowers. I'm entering this into the Country View Crafts challenge which you can see here. The background was created by dabbing distress paint onto my craft sheet and spritzing with water. I swiped the tag through the colour a couple of times, then dried it.
I placed a stencil from JOFY 007 in place and stencilled in white. I painted them in blush and Orchid.
Once the flowers were dry I assembled them onto the tag.
Once it was dry I applied shabby shutters, and tea dye distress stains to the mat and ran the tag through. I then knocked it back with a little Nougart Fresco Acrylic paint from Paper Artsy, to softening the colours.
I placed a stencil from JOFY 007 in place and stencilled in white. I painted them in blush and Orchid.
I love this photo...
I cut out some pansies, stamped and coloured them around the edges. I love pansies, they are so pretty. Before I assembled the flowers I added some tulle secured with a brad.
Once the flowers were dry I assembled them onto the tag.
I felt something was missing so added a tiny Tag which I had stamped.
Thank you for looking, see you soon Debs xxx

More sewing
Today has been a mixed day, usual tidying and shopping and then home for brunch, but I didn't get the usual rush to go play.
I looked through sources of inspiration but nothing spoke to me. Usually when that happens, if start painting on a tag or in a journal, it starts to flow and then I'm off. Those amongst you who are crafters of art, will probably know that, of which I speak, that life force which blazes through your veins as ideas pop one by one. Well it didn't happen today.
I half made a tag but was quickly bored. I started tidying, and sorting, but nothing was going to kinder that spark, so I went into the upstairs room, which now houses, the sewing machine, wool, books, paper and card stash. I love having the sewing machine set up and ready to go.
Sitting and relaxing sparked the flame, more ipad covers, and I was off. I have now made another two. The first, is very plain. Like the others it has a pocket at the front for phone, or head phones as well a place to put your stylus if you have one.

Stich in time heheh
Tonight I went to my first sewing lesson. We made an ipad cover. I can use a sewing machine but want to improve my sewing skills. It's a great little place, that offers many workshops. You can visit them here
And this is how it happened.
Tag Sam style
Sam one of the PATwits was guess designer this week with this great tag. So I thought I'd have a go following Sam's style. I used different colours and stamps but followed her background technique.
I chose my colours
And brayered them onto the tag
Sam used one of Ellen Vargo's stamps from Paper Artsy but I don't have that one and so used this stamp I picked up somewhere (cannot remember where- sorry). I used archival ink in watering can and then dried the tag, I used the same same stamp but this time black. With a white paint pen I drew some highlights. I used distress ink round the edge in seedless preserves.
I moved on to the corrugated card which I painted in black Gesso. I stamped the face from the
Lynne Perrella Collection 028 but altered the sides to fit my card.
I added a few bits and bobs as you can see and the result was this finished tag.
Thank you for looking. I would love to read your comment.
I will enter the challenge at Paper Artsy.

Just in time
Hello everyone. Thanks for visiting today. I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend. Have you ever had a project that you really want to do, but somehow get side tracked every time you go to start. Well that's what happened to me with this one.
Darcy has been making a monthly journal page with lots of good tips and techniques over on the Paper Artsy blog. See hers here. I will be entering this into the challenge.
I started mine by pretty much following Darcy's, that was until I started to deviate. Here are the first few
And this is where it started to change. Mine is only a one page spread. I used a stamp to form a frame and then stencilled my flowers. As you can see my stencilling needs much more practice. It is my least favourite technique and yet looks so yummy on others work.

My First Bottle today...
I saved a couple of bottles from my Holiday in March in the Peak District. I liked their shape and thought one day I will decorate them. I started one a few weeks ago but have to admit I did not know what I was doing. I stuck some printed paper on the bottle and when dry painted it red and added some golden trim.
I think it ended up better than it started but I still need lots of practice lol. Thank you for visiting
That was a far as I got . I hated it, so stuck it in the corner with the pile of 'I'll finish them one day.'
Well today was that day. Still didn't have a clue what to do. So I got out my distress paints and in particular gold painted it. It still l look dreadful, no picture I'm afraid. What next I thought! Frantage! I used the shabby blue around the collar.
I added some lace and ribbon and stuck some gems around. I also added a sentiment which say Dare To Dream! Live Every day From the Hear.
I'm going to enter this into the challenges at Arty Inklings and Craft Stamper take make it Challenge
Big hugs Debs xx
Dragons Dream TIO
Hello, thank you for visiting today. I have been in the garden alternating between crafting and gardening, and getting mucky with both. It has been a lovely day here in Essex, so it was nice to play with the plants for a while. Whilst I was doing this, I dreamt up a tag which I could enter into the challenge at Dragon's Dream. The theme was blue and the letter S.
I had an old piece of card which I had stencilled blue diamonds once side and then stencilled grunge paste through a floral stencil. On top of this I had painted it a pale peach colour. I think I was going to make something with a vintage style but had got bored and put it on a shelf. Well I painted the peach side first with Beach Hut and then South Pacific and then blended the two side with Nougart all Fresco Acrylics from Paper Artsy. I had also used perfect pearl in silver around a few of the diamonds and created some circles as well.
I brightened up the floral side with some silver Treasure Gold. I created a small tag which I painted in the same colours. This formed a good base for my face stamp from Craft Indivdulas, which has a lot of black.
I felt it needed some flowers and so made three ; two in white with distress ink in Stormy Sky added to the edges and one I painted in Sky. I mixed these up as I assembled them.
I then printed out the word Selfie to add to the tag plaque
I hope you enjoyed your visit, I would love to read your comments. See you soon

Vintage Tim
Hello I'm on a roll today, another tag this time inspired by Tim Holtz 12 tags April, and Spring Flowers on the Vintage Journey blog. I will be entering my tag in to both the blog challenges, also at Fashionable Stamper , inspirational journal, Frilly and Funkie
My flowers are the small tattered florals and flower and vine from sizzix. I used the same technique that Tim used on his video for the tattered cone demonstration which use heat gun glue to stick the flower together. I distressed the flowers using tattered rose and scattered straw.
I pretty much followered Tim's Tag which you can see here, but changed a few elements here and there.
I used the honeycomb framelet and chose to emboss the hexagons in shabby emerald shabby pink frantage from Stampendous and gold from Wow.
I again prepared my ribbon the same as Tim's using Victorian velvet. I also added a sentiment, and a butterfly.
I have really enjoyed making this. Thank you for visiting. Big hugs Debs. Please leave a comment so I know you came xxx
Black and white
Well here we are Easter Sunday, day 3 of the long weekend for some. I'm in my craftroom in the garden listening to the rain. It's very peaceful and I am really enjoying my craft time.
After deliberation I chose yellow, which was inspired by Jo Myhill earlier this morning, as she used it on her creation. You can see Jo's here. These colours I would never have chose to use so very pleased I found the challenge :).
I decided that today I would enter a few challenges as there are some great themes around. On That's Crafty they asked us to play with just black and white with a splash of colour, and on the Artistic Stampers blog they invited us to play with embossing. My project here combines the two and will be entered into both challenges.
I used Paper Artsy' smoothly heavy card stock 90x180mm and attached to a large tag which had been distressed round the edges with black soot.
I stamped the background patten from crafty individuals in black archival ink randomly. I then used black and white embossing powder to highlight some of the diamonds.
I like the way the it changed when I double stamped the card.
I knew I wanted butterlies but could not decide which colour to use. I made several and laid them on the card
I used black archival and saying stamp from creative expressions on the back ground to add some more interest. I then printed and embossed a saying stamp from studio 490 from stampers anonymous and used it as a sentiment. It all came together.
Thank you for visiting and I'd love to read comments thank you.

A song in my heart
Hello me again. Last one tonight, I think.
I then added my Lyrics.
This piece was inspired by the challenge at Our Creative Corner With a Song in your heart. The song I have chosen is Dont Let Go by En Vogue - you can watch the video here. http://youtu.be/gzhmSGc518w I am entering their challenge, as well as the challenge at the Artistic Stamper.
The lyrics I chose are, 'Lose Control'. Not something I often do. As with many women today, being 'in' control is expected. Therefore, seemingly, to 'lose' control is not accepted. We are expected to be good wives, good mothers, daughters, employees, managers, etc. additionally, in each if these roles, we are expected to know it, and get it right, and always cope.
Sometimes I don't want to cope. I want to lose control. Be it around love, hate, anger, laughter, tears, or any other emotion, I want to submerge myself in it, feel it, experience it whole. To do so, is to know you are alive!
The words connect me to a time in my life when I did lose control and fell deeply in love with a man who is now my husband.
Anyway I started by printing out a drawing I did and sticking it onto this wall hanging. I added pieces of paper to form a collage stuck right to edge and once dried sanded. This technique was shared by a lovely twitter friend, Julie Ann You can it here.
Next I added some embossing frantage and tiny beads. I am so loving this at the moment. I defined the butterflies with blue distress ink and black pit pen.
I also added some paper butterflies, and stamped a little around the edge using one of Ellen Vargo stamps at Paper Artsy.
I then added my Lyrics.
I really enjoyed making this. The song is quite old now but I still love it. Thanks for coming to see and I hope you enjoyed your visit. I love reading your comments.
