Fresco's goes rusty

Hello everyone today I'm sharing a mini journal page or two that I completed. There are 12 of us in a journal circle, and each month we complete a page then send it on. We all made our journals in a variety of shapes and sizes, which is a lovely surprise each month.

In this months I had a back and front of a page to complete, but kept to the same theme.

The paints are The limited addition set by Seth Apter for Paper Artsy

I love these colours and I'm about to order my next set as I've nearly run out of Moganhy and Midnight!

The stamp is Lin Brown's new set and the Stencil is Seth's

A few pics of the process

Loved creating this pages

Take care soon

Mail Art

Hello everyone, sorry I've not been around much lately, life just got busy all of sudden! With a wedding card to make, journal workshop to teach, and all the other bits, (secrets I cannot talk about) I have had hardly any time to time play with my new stamps. Don't forget I'm giving 5 sets of these limited addition stamps. For those who do not know, see the original post here.

Well I wanted to get some in the post, and decided to use my stamps to create some Mail Art.

All the backgrounds are Fresco Finish Acrylic by Paper Artsy brayered on and then using Archival Ink in Various colours I created

These pretty envelopes

My favourite has to be the tiny leafs as I designed it, to be able to build up the leafs to form all sorts of plants and trees.

All my friends have recieved their stamps and I'm so looking forward to seeing what they create.

A few more sets will be going out this week,

Will you be receiving a set?

Take care and I'll see you soon

Autumn Leaves

Hi everyone, thanks for popping in. Tonight I'm sharing a journal page I created as the sample for my coming Journal workshop on Saturday, at Birds in the Barn. But I'm also entering it into the new challenge at Paper Artsy which is Autumn leaves.    I just love Autumn and the beautiful colours you can see, it's really is such a colourful season. And next to Spring my favourite!
I used Seth Apter's paint, and stamps  from Paper Artsy and his Stencils from Stencil Girl, which you can purchase from Paper Artsy. For my leaves I used Lin Browns new stamp just released again by Paper Artsy.

I hope I have inspired to get the paints out and create something magical, keep creative!

Sooo Excited and a fab giveaway

Good morning friends and followers, I hope you are all well. I'm mega excited to tell you about this stamp give away. You may remember back in May I won the adult section of a 'design a stamp' competition run by Crafters Companion and Star Radio. Well I now have the stamp sets and want to share them with you all my loyal followers so I'm giving away 5 sets. Each set contains 12 stamps which can be used to create a scene or build up layers, your choice. Here is a pic of what 5 lucky people will receive.

Here is a quick play but more will be shared over the next few weeks.

So all you have to do is comment on this post and make sure you are a follower. 5 people will be randomly drawn on 29th October so there is plenty of time to get you comments in.

Good luck everyone and watch out for more projects showing how they can be used.

Take care all and keep creative

Travel in life

Morning everyone, thank you for popping in. Today I'm over at Country View Crafts, with my second inspiration for this months challenge. I hope I inspire you to play along. There has been some fabulous makes so far, so if you have time, pop over and have a look at all fantastic work my teammates have created.

I wanted to interpret the theme from outside the box and so thought of travelling thoughts and inspirations we have everyday, but often don't recognise we have them, because they are so automatic. I also wanted to use these birds from Prima as I just love them. In this piece they represent our thoughts.

Here are some of the steps

I have used what I call the boxed in technique. I just love the effect it creatives. You can see this technique explained more here.

Lyndys Stamp Gang Sprays and water soluble crayons (Distress Crayons ) and Pencils (Inktense)

I played around to where I wanted each bird, this was just a first play and I settled without the flowers. It helped me to think about where I needed my brunches.

I stamped and cut out the birds using different pages. I then shaded them with the pencils and stuck in place.

I added my words from Tim Holtz

And then some inspirational messages hand written in the blocks.

Lastly another look at the finished page. I've used my favourite colour combos in this piece, which make it pleasant to my eyes,

What's your fav colour combos you like to use?

Take care everyone and I'll see you soon
