Mini Garden Book

Hi everyone I'm back with another little project, this time for Paper Artsy's new Challenge, Mettallic.  I've used EKD 01,02 for this little project which were Kim's first stamps she designed for Paper Artsy, of course she has designed many more.

Here are some close up but you can see more, and how I have decorated this little book on the blog.

I hope I have inspired you to enter the challenge as you could win a £50 voucher!
Good luck

Shine on

Hi everyone, today I'm over at Country View Crafts with my second inspiration for this months challenge. The lovely Miriam chose Metal for us this month and I've been doing my best not to go for something rusty. Those of you that know me, know I love Rust, but it's my go to, so I was determined to do something different.

I stamped the girl from Your Beautiful by Rubber Dance designed by Moi, I drew her a cloak and surrounded her with flowers. I used a piece of handmade paper I had saved from our wedding stationery.

I first painted her with Mermaid Markers, watering down the ink to lighten the colour. Once these layers were dry I added areas of metallic paint
to catch the light. In the image above the shimmer is hard to see as I was using artificial light.

Once completely dry I stuck the paper onto Bronze Mettalic Paper and then mounted it onto the white card

I intend to make myself a little stash of cards as I'm not good at remembering to look at my calendar.  I either keep forgetting or struggle to make them  when my muse goes walk about. This way I'll have a few to dip into as a back up.

Take care all

New Challenge today!

Morning everyone today starts a new challenge at Rubber Dance and it's an easy one 'use your favourite Stamp'! Well I have so many gorgeous stamps that I love,  including those I designed myself,  but for today I chose one of my old crafty teammates Donna  We have found ourselves on 3 Design Teams together, over the last few years and so I'm proud to use one of her recent designs for Rubber Dance.

I love this cutie! Bonnie Bunny

So I started fixing the stamp to the stamp platform and the sprinkled some Bistre in a Brown over the stamp and spritzed with water.
This gave the stamp a very arty look. Then using Mermaid Markers I filled in the grassy areas and the sky. I used the spray bottle first, all around the rabbit then the markers. I then spritzed and flicked the water, (Tim Holtz method) until my background was as arty looking as the rabbit.

I then restamped with Stazon in Black to give the details

I then added some grass and flowers

It was then mounted onto the card and Sentiment added.

A simple but I think effective background and a beautiful stamp!

I hope you are inspired to play along, all the details are here

It's Christmas!

Well not really, but it is time to think about all the those crafty makes for the festive time, whatever you celebrate. Hello everyone I hope this post find you well. I was thinking how fortunate so many of us are. We have our problems true, but if you are reading this, I guess you are basically okay. I've been Thinking about all the people affected by the storms of late...

On a lighter note, tonight sees me over on the Paper Artsy blog  with a little project using the lovely Kay Carly's  new stamps and Stencils, which is a fab set that all mix and match. So why not pop over and have a look.

I knew straight away what I wanted to make but as I hadn't used these stamps and Stencils I needed a play first. I took photos as I thought it would be useful and have kept my little samples as a reference for future projects. I mainly used Infusions and watercolours for these practice pieces samples below. These aren't finished pieces and I kept them as a reference but I could use them in future projects.

And here's what's on the blog

Take care everyone

So now the give away...

Hello everyone, I hope you are over the length of my previous post, I know it was long but I really wanted to show how the stencils could be used. I designed the faces to be used several ways, for example, you can use them just as they are for all your mixed media needs or you can join the lines and use them as an outline for your basic face, which you can then paint to hearts delight.

Anyway!

There's a whole set up for grabs

You know what to do
leave a comment so I know you want to be included, in the draw and it would be nice if you followed me too.
well how else will you know the date of my second release?
Yes there is more to come!

I will close the draw on September 30th and announce the winner on Sunday 1st of October.
Good luck everyone!

Take care
