My second post for This months challenge

Hello Everyone today I have my second post for Country View Crafts challenge which this month is Stencils, I couldn’t resist using Boho Jane a stencil that I designed.

This simple tag was composed by using Distress Oxide, which I smooched together and then sprinkled and flicked water in differing amounts
Then stencilled Jane in black ink and heat set. I used a background stencil to add more interest and then added some stick on sentiments designed by the lovely Marta Łapkowska for 13@rts.

Here are a few process shots

See you again soon

Take care

Journal inspiration

Morning everyone, today I have a journal page to share with you.

I don’t have any process shots but ill walk you through it.

I started with a background of blue and white acrylic smooched together with wet dry foam. Next the stencilling is one of my own (Pattern) used with VarsaMark and sparkling white Embossing Powder from Stampendous. This was heat set.

I then used Vintage Script in dark Blue archival Ink randomly over the page. Once it had been heat set I started to stamp the
Roses from Blossoming Rose around the page.

And lastly Beautiful You was stamped

I drew in some more hair as I wanted her to spread to the next page and gave her a cloak, as I didn’t want her just floating.

I used Sennelier watercolours for hair and cloak, and originally her face, but I didn’t like the script showing through on her face
As it just looked dirty, so I repainted her face, first with white acrylic and pale flash tones.

To finish, I couloured the flowers with Signo Mettalic pens and added some pearls to hair. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz Christmas words.
Let’s have a last look.

All stamps are from Rubber Dance

That’s all for today, but I will be back soon

Take care

Remember

Hello Everyone today is a special day throughout The Commonwealth of Nations as we celebrate the ending World War 1. I do not support War, I do not believe in aggression to fight aggression, but it it is a personal view, and one you may not hold. However I do celebrate Peace, and respect the remembrance of all the those that lost their lives, then and every War since, so that we can live our lives Free.

I drew and painted these Poppy’s for today!

Here’s some pics  of the process and close ups.

And because you know I love to mix it up, here are a couple of pics after I played with the original in Brushstrokes a digital App.

Take care everyone and I hope you can join me at 11am in a 2minutes silence.

Stay safe

New challenge at Country View Crafts

Morning everyone, the new challenge at Country View Crafts was chosen for us by the lovely Gabrielle and the theme is Stencils, yah said I when I saw. All entries into the challenge are in with a chance to win £20.

I do love a stencil lol, and here’s my creation.

This is how I created this piece

Using different stencils and 3 colours

I kept to the same 3 Stencils but added some complimentary colours to get a nice contrast.

Then add my feature using one of my own Stencils Skellen. My faces are designed to either add an outline of a face or you can
Join up the lines to get full features as I have done here.

I reversed the stencil to give me my second face and added a few details. I chose to not add colour to the face as I liked the background showing through

I also added a white flower to her non eye. (A hint of something to come maybe)

The acrylic paint I used is Dina Wakley for Ranger as well as her Scribble Sticks which I love. Black Archival ink.

Thanks for popping in.

Take care
Hugsxx
