Frescos and palette knife

Hi everyone. I just wanted to share this page.

I started with scraping the Fresco paint onto the page carefully with the colours, so as not to make mud and built up the layers. More layers with stencilling same paints through Dina Wakley stencils. Using Archival ink I added some more layers stamps from IndigoBlu and then knocked it back by scraping Chalk Fresco paint over the entire page.

I then used a script stamp randomly over the page in Watering Can Archival ink. The feature is part Dina Wakley - head, clock - Paper Artsy and body from me. The sentiment is Paper Artsy too.

I used port folio crayons to add back some colour.

Thanks for visiting

Another journal page

Hi everyone here's another journal page.

I built up some layers using Dina Wakley Media line

Added some stencilling

I also added some red and pink but forgot to take a photo.

Next I used an oval mask and darkened the rest with the colour night.

I journalled on the dark with a White Gell pen.

Thanks for popping by, see you soon.

Journal page with Faces

Hi everyone, it's  great that you are here. At the weekend I played in my new Dylusions journal and loved it.

I sprayed several Dylusions inks onto the two pages keeping to my colour families so as not to make mud.

I used  a few stencils and built up the layers until I was happy with how it looked. I chose to keep with Dylusions and used two face stamps from the Bits of This plate.

I gave them bodies and coloured them in with Pan Pastles and shadows with the Stabilo All pencil.

Added some stamping randomly over the pages to add interest.

I also added  a main sentiment.  Here are some closed ups

And the finished page.

I got very messy and had pink fingers for two days; it was worth it as it was so much fun. I love it! I hope you like it too. I would love to know what you think.

Take care Debsxxxx

Last heart of the Month.

Morning to you, all my lovely followers. I really do appreciate the support you all give me so big hugs being sent out through ether to you all.

I'm sharing a quick Tag I made to enter into these challenges.

I started by Brayering Rose and Blush Fresco finish paints from Papaer Artsy on to #8 Manila tag.

I then stencilled some alphabet letters randomly over the tag. I used a Tim Holtz layering stencil.

Apologies for not taking step photos, sometimes the moments takes over lol!

Below you can see the heart stamp from IndigoBlu

To finish I added a folded ribbon ( this way of presenting ribbon usually denotes an awareness of something but in this case there's no meaning) it is only for decorative purposes.

Next came a love stamp.

I added some doodles to finish.

Thanks for stopping by, take good care and I'll see you soon.

Big hugs Debs xx

So onto the sign of Pisces which is symbolised by two fish swimming in different directions Ying and Yang.

The fish was sacred to the Greco-Roman mythology, where it held symbolic meaning of change and transformation. We see this in the myth of Aphrodite and Heros when they turned themselves into fish in order to escape from the ferocious Typhon.

February 19 - March 20

Pisces is the twelfth sign of the zodiac, and it is also the final sign in the zodiacal cycle. Hence, this sign brings together many of the characteristics of the eleven signs that have come before it. Pisces, however, are happiest keeping many of these qualities under wraps. These folks are selfless, spiritual and very focused on their inner journey. They also place great weight on what they are feeling. Yes, feelings define Pisces, and it's not uncommon for them to feel their own burdens (and joys) as well as those of others. The intuition of the Pisces-born is highly evolved. Many people associate Pisces with dreams and secrets, and it's a fair association, since those born under this sign feel comfortable in an illusory world. Extracted from

Now for my inspiration this week

I started with some balsa wood and cut out my symbols I worked on this for a while but was not feeling the piece. It was doing nothing for me. So I changed tacked, I run aged through my scrap pile of papers and pulled out some instruction from something. I used a pallet knife and scraped some Media Fluids Acrylic across the page.

I kept the stencilling simple and used the same colour palette in areas to add some interest.

I then scraped some white on to the page I will journal on this later.

And of course  some circles

I added my fish

I finished with journalling and stamp.

Next week we will have a guest who has more inspiration for us,  shall I tell you who? No You'll have to wait and see.

So come on have a go,  this is what you could win.

Add your entry via the linky.

Take care and I'll see you soon

Painty

Hi everyone another quicky this morning to share my journal page lightly inspired by Anneke De Clerk. Over on the Paper Artsy Blog the theme is paint. There is some fantastic creations on the blog which you can see here.

I created my background differently by Brayering my colours and then using a stencil, I  did some more bumping still not perfected it but it's getting better.  I had some really useful feedback from my Twitter mate Sam who suggested I'm using too much paint and she was right. I'm not a very presice crafter neither am I very neat both of which I'm working on lol.

I forgot to take photos but below you can see that I added some flowers from Lin Brown stencil and crackle paste. (I've run out of grunge paste) and then using the same colours as the background added some bands of colour and of course some painty circles.

Here you can see the feature  in the little black and a little more stamping on the background.

And the finished page.

Thank you for visiting and come back tonight to see who won the Zodiac Challenge for this month.
Take care big hugs xx

Journal pages

Morning everyone, happy Thursday. I hope you are all well and looking after yourselves, as well as getting plenty of time to craft.

This morning is just a quicky to share another couple of  journal pages using DecoArt products

They as started like this

Both backgrounds were created using Media fluids and my baby Gelli Plate

On this one I stamped some butterflies using a IndigoBlu mini stamp in watering can archival ink I also used titanium white to give a blank area to add my feature stamp also by IndigoBlu.

I added some painty butterflies too as I wanted more colour.

The finished page

Below you can see I did a similar thing but used the big butterfly from IndigoBlu.

The finished page

I hope you like them both as I had fun making them.

Take care and come back soon to see won January's zodiac challenge.

Hugs to all Debsxx

Media Mist and a Pallet Knife

Hi everyone hope you all  are well. I have another couple of journal pages to show you, this time using Media sparys from DecoArt.  I'm going  to enter this into the haunted design house challenge which as it is February is called its a love/ hate thing.

Below I have sprayed on my colours and then using the knife moved the cour around.

Once that layer had dried I stencilled with black through a stencil. And once dry using a Stabilo All in black drew on the page.

Here's a close up.

Very different and Im not sure whether I like it, but really enjoyed creating him.

And now for the next one
I scraped the paint around and used the knife to make patterns
Then sprayed white through a stencil.

Then added a face.

Stay safe and I'll see you soon
