Mussie Tussie

Hello and welcome. Tonight I'm sharing a  Mussie Tussie I have made for Christmas.
I got the idea from for this Mussie Tussies from pinterest as you can see some really gorgeous ones displayed on there? I couldn't believe my eye when Lelainia on the Paper Artsy blog last week showcased something very similar. Well good minds think alike! Says I! I didn't enter the blog with it as I didn't want to share until tonight as I was going to be demong how I made it at craft club tonight but because I have no voice and not feeling well I cancelled my demo.

Mine is made different to Lelainia's as I'm using paper as she states in her post. First I painted it with French Roast Fresco paint from Paper Artsy  and when dry added crackle glaze randomly but thinly with a palette knife. I then painted over it in  a Hint of Mint and dried this with a heat tool.

I gave two or three spritz of colorbloom in Tea Die and once dry stamped some script in archival potting soil. I heat dried this and then with Media Line spray in white I added  a more control spray as I wanted some splatter too.

Once completely dried I added my stamping using  Paper Artsy Minis

I then punched out a border around the four edges - this was a mistake correction we'll sort of! I planned the punch out three edges leaving the the bottom edge. I started punching  and realised that I had punched the edge I had planned to leave and if I used it like this then the words would be upside down so punched all the way round.

I then distressed the edges and turned the paper into a cone fastening with Tim Holtz stapler top and bottom. I added some Christmas decoration to mine but as Lelainer says you could fill with sweets or fruit. You could even use it to hold small presents.

Hope you liked my Mussie Tussie which means a small vessel to hold a posie and thank you for your visit. Take Care
