Hello everyone, I have a great start to the week for you all, as Rubber Dance Stamps By Bibi Lindahl have a new look to their blog and a new release of stamps and to celebrate there is a blog hop from the team. To be in with a chance to win some fabulous stamps please ensure you leave a comment on each of the blogs. Follow this link to the start of the hop!
My project for the hop is an altered set of table mats for your drinks.
Using DecoArt products to create the the crackle, (weathered wood, tinting base) followed by stamping onto tissue paper, and sticking onto hearts with Matt Medium. Once dry, the flowers and leaves were coloured with Faber Castell Paint Pens. The stamps are by Rubber Dance, designed by the lovely Susanne Rose. Here are some process shots.
Too finish I sealed the mats with a gloss spray and once completely dry add some Metallic Lustre to the edges to add some interest.
I hope you enjoy the hop
Take care
Hugs xx

ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, and I've learned something too - I've spent all weekend trying - and failing - to stamp onto a crackled surface. I didn't realise tissue was the magic ingredient that I was missing. I'm not very experienced with mixed media!
