An afternoon in the garden

My hubby went off up a mountain today so I took the opportunity to have some arty time. I had no plan as to what I wanted to created and just let this happen.

I started with drawing my face and spraying the background with dylusions ink sprays. I wanted to keep the face in balance and not dominate the picture and so did use pink on the face. I used fresco acrylic paint in egg plant around the eyes and to add some shadow. I used my crayons to add some details.

I added more detailed and played with face to blend it in more.

I added some more flowers and detail. Once it was dry I outlined some areas to bring it back and then added some silver glitter paste to add sparkle. ( love the colour Lylac and love sparkle) lol.

I apologise for not adding more steps but got carried away.

Thank you for looking and hope you enjoy. Xx

My first summer fae

I have been following the mini summer series with Tamara Laporte http://www.willowing.org/summer-series/ and this is my first summer fae. I hope you like her and her friend.

I drew them out first and used my  Caran D'Ache Neocolor II which is a watersoluble wax pastel, to colour. I purchased these from  http://www.pencils4artists.co.uk which a site recommended to me and I had great service too and so are happy endorse.

I hope you enjoyed viewing and thank you for visiting my blog.

2nd day in the lakes

We spent the day at waterfalls which were beautiful. The trek to them was also very inspiring. I saw lots  magical creatures flitting about. Of course hubby said they were just in my mind but what does he know.

Today's creation represents my experience of being in the forest with the rain dripping and the wind whispering forgotten secrets to those who will listen. At times the going was very slippery but i felt protected by the forest spirits lol.
I forgot to stop and take photos of the different stages but hope you enjoy the finished creation.

First day

I did this page (my first) in my journal. We arrived in the lakes about 12pm. This page represents the sun that was shining,  my heart which belongs to the lakes the flowers that are still blooming and the huge house in which we we are staying.  Some texture reminds me of the sheep and the sparkling water of the lake.

I started by spraying colours onto the paper.

I then added some decoupage paper randomly to the page.

I then added the texture at the bottom and and top

I added a heart to the top right. I love the lakes and feel that spiritually I live here.

I painted the heart bright because mine was smiling.

Lastly I stamped a flower by JOFY to highlight how many pretty flowers are still blooming plus I love JOFY  stamps.

Your feedback is much appreciated xx
