How excited am I?

Hello everyone, I'm so glad you are here, as I can now show you what I've been up to recently. I was so lucky to be able to play with Sara Naumann's new release of stamps for Paper Artsy. Not just stamps though, two new Stencils as well. All this week Leandra and Mark from Paper Artsy, have been busy behind the scenes organising the release of New Stamps and Paints as well as introducing two new designers. I'd pull up a chair and make a cup of tea, as there are quite a few photos to share.

I made 6 samples in total here is the first.

Our palette to use was Tinned Peas, Brown Shed, Space Cadette, Nougat and London Night, all Fresco Acrylic Paints. And Stamp Plates ESN 22 23.

Here are the steps I took

I watered down Brown Shed and gave a wash over the card. Then with London Night, I stamped some script randomly and allowing the paint to fade out before picking up more. I stamped both leaves from the new plates some with Tinned Peas and the others with Space Cadette.

I used grunge paste through the stencil and then painted it with the Brown Shed. Once this was dry I tore round the edge so it would fit a #8 tag.

I stamped the big leaves with Brown Shed and then cut it out. I also used Space Cadette on the torn edges to give a more distressed look.

The tag itself was painted with Space Cadette and Brown Shed. Once it was all assembled I added some pearls here and there. I stamped the ship onto shrink plastic and cut round it before shrinking. This I added to a ribbon to finish.

The next Tag had far less elements.

I used the Space Cadette and Tinned Peas with a small brayer for the background. For the leaf I used the the stencil with Versamark and white Embossing powder to creat a resist. On top of which I added a diluted wash of Brown Shed. I matted and layered onto black card and finished with some black beads.
The next sample is an A5

Using the the leaf Stencil I created a background using Space Cadette and and Tinned Peas. Once dry, I used a brayer and Nougat to knock it back (learned this from Leandra) as I didn't want it too dark. On top of this I added some stems from the other stencil in London Night.

I stamped a few of the leaves in brown shed with a touch of the green and blue, cut them out, and arranged them on the tag to form a flower.

I added some of the dots stamp in Nougat and Brown Shed and added a few pearls for added interest. I also added a bead I had made from Paper Clay to the centre to finish the flower.

Next a couple of 4x4 cards

On the one above I used a page from Chatworth a 12x12 pad from Paper Artsy to act as a Mat.

Using a similar technique as before I created the background matted and layered the card.

Another watered down background using Tinned Peas which I left darker in some areas. I stamped the leaf in the same colour and then with the stencil and Grunge Paste I created the other set of leaves. I painted the GP leaves with Space Cadette and once dry I sanded it bag to age it. Love this effect!

And lastly a 5x7 landscape card

This is is my favourite card! I just love Sara's leafs and couldn't leave them alone! I think this larger 3 leaf stem worked really well with the paint (Brown Shed) on my attempt at CAS with a twist of grunge. The background was layers of the different colours brayered on and then knocked back with Nougat. All mattered and layered and once assembled a few dots were added and some pearls.

Here is a video of Sara's samples and those of my teammates, I hope you enjoy!
