Over at Anything but Cute they are asking for some Grungy Love and so I will enter my heart.
I used an MDF heart from That's Crafty and added some Golden Fibre Paste through Sara Naumann new stencil from Paper Artsy in the middle as well as a Dinky Stencil from that's crafty (link above) top and Bottom.Once dry I gave it a coat of black gesso then two coats of Quinacridone Gold both from DecoArt.
I drilled two holes through the board as I wanted to stich my pieces into place.
I stained the pieces of material and cut them to size. I aged the sentiment piece
Checking out my rust wire flowers I decided they didn't show enough so played with red UTEE
Then stitched either side to hold in place
Done
Thank you so much for popping in, I hope you like my heart
Take Care and I'll see you soon, sending Hugs

Fantastic, Deb - I was getting just a teensy bit bored with all the hearts everywhere, but this has completely turned me around. Great grungy texture and those wire flowers are simply wonderful.

Deb, this is truly a work of art! I agree with Alison about a little tired of seeing hearts--Valentine's day is not one of my favorites--exactly why I chose Grungy Love for my challenge. And you have rose to the occassion with this GRUNGY masterpiece! Love those UTEE flowers! Nice work throughout! And your pansies look healthy and ready to burst into bloom!
