Quick play

Hello my crafty friends, I hope you are all well and enjoying the first signs of spring. As I write it's sounds like it's a blustery day here in North Cumbria, but as I'm finding out it can be grey and rainy one minute and brilliant sunshine the next, or vice versa. I haven't spent much time in the Garage craft room as to be honest as lovely as it is, I miss my garden space. I miss watching the birds splashing about in the water feature and the sunlight streaming in through the windows. Many as you read this might feel I'm lucky to have the whole garage to myself and I would agree, however as I've found time and again my muse finds the changing of space difficult.

I know this will be worked through in time, I hope! What do you do when your muse has left the building? Anyway with this in mind I forced myself out  for a little play, inspired by the lovely new stamps I received from Rubber Dance, by the lovely Bibi Lindahl.

The background is made up of Infusions by Paper Artsy, and Distress Crayons by Ranger. Next I stamped butterfly girl I then used some butterflies from Rubber Dance and embossed them with silver. The sentiment is from A little birdie which is a beautiful set of stamps which has some lovely birds.

I do hope you like this tag, and I hope my muse returns soon as I'm missing that flow of inspiration and enjoyment I usually experience when creating!

Take care all and hope to be back soon!
Hugs xxxx

Fabulous blog hop with Rubber Dance

Hello everyone,  I have a great start to the week for you all,  as Rubber Dance Stamps By Bibi Lindahl have a new look to their blog and a new release of stamps and to celebrate there is a blog hop from the team. To be in with a chance to win some fabulous stamps please ensure  you leave a comment on each of the blogs. Follow this link to the start of the hop!

My project for the hop is an altered set of table mats for your drinks.

Using DecoArt products to create the the crackle, (weathered wood, tinting base) followed by stamping onto tissue paper, and sticking onto hearts with Matt Medium. Once dry, the flowers and leaves were coloured with Faber Castell Paint Pens. The stamps are by Rubber Dance, designed by the lovely Susanne Rose. Here are some process shots.

Too finish I sealed the mats with a gloss spray and once completely dry add some Metallic Lustre to the edges to add some interest.

I hope you enjoy the hop
Take care

It's finished!

Hello everyone, tonight I'm sharing a painting I started a couple of days ago which I got to finish tonight. I used Sennellier Abstract a heavy bodied, high pigment concentration acrylic, which has a fabulous creamy texture and is wonderfully transparent. White Acrylic Ink by liquitex Sennellier Oil Pastels and Inktense Pencils. The canvas is 16-20"

Here are some photos of the different stages.

Here it is hanging

I need to finish another one now!

Take care

Amongst the flowers for Paper Artsy

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well and feeling peaceful. Now I've settled after my leap up North, I'm feeling very peaceful, I'm enjoying the quiet at home, and the buzz at work. Anyway I'm here to let you know that I'm over at Paper Artsy tonight with a small wall hanging. Here's a peep, but I'd love it if you went and had a look and left me some love.

Hope you like it!

Take care as always

Inspired by Tim holtz

Hello everyone, first I would like to apologise for the previous empty post! I don't know what I did wrong, but the post was blogged empty, lol. So here it is, rewritten!

As you are now probably aware the new theme over at Country View Craft  is inspired by the great Man himself Tim Holtz. If you are chosen  at random you will win £20 to spend in the shop.

I started by background in a classic Tim style by adding some Distress Ink onto my mini journal page, drying it and spritzed and flick!

Then the Stencils

I do chuckle to myself when I look at Tims crazy animals in this case cats.

I used Tim's Distress Crayons to add colour google eyes and some large chit chat stickers to finish!

Sorry again about the missing content,

See you soon
Hugs
