Vintage Flower Box

Hi everyone, I'm sharing some boxes that I altered using DecoArt products.

I first painted them in Remberence Chalk Paint from the Americano Range and once dry gave areas around the boxes a fine scraping of Weathered Wood, and let it dry. I then used Everlasting Chalk Paint and watched the cracks appear.

While that was drying I applied modelling paste through a new stencil onto white tissue paper, before it dried I costed it in milled Lavendar distress embossing powder and heat set it all.

I wet the paper around the words to make it tear easily and using Matt Medium adhered it to the box.

I worked out where the rest went and completed adding on my words.

Once it was all dry I added some lace around the inside top edge and sat my plant inside with some white Organza.

And here it is in its place.

This is the smaller box which was treated exactly the same way.

And together.

Thanks for your visit.

See you all soon

  1. These are brilliant - I was eyeing some up in the garden centre at the weekend that were nice but no where near as wonderful as these xx
