Im entering it into the Country View Crafts Anything Goes
I used Weathered Wood and Chalk finish paint to age the box.
Below you can see I used some rusty wire to form an embelishment which also serves to hold some rusty trinkets.
I chose my pieces and added some sand paste ( learnt this with From Andy Skinner) painted them with Black Media Fluid and once dry Quinacrindone Gold
you can there is a mixture of clay and metal the clay pieces I had made a while back.
I loved how they came out, all crispy looking like layers of rust built up over years.
I added split rings to the pieces and threaded them onto the rusty wire. I attached the wire to the box form a wire flourish.
I added the bottles and some perennial wallflowers which have flowered all year this year.
And in its new home
I'm running out of shelf space but loving these little vintage touches in my kitchen space.
Thanks for your visit and see you again soon Debs xx
