On both canvasses I scraped Media Fluids in various greens and blues and heat dried them.
Then out came the Media Mists.
At this point these canvasses say good bye. I completly changed my mind and continued with only one.
I decided I want this one to hang along side the canvass from Thursday. I am hanging them both in my passage by the front door.
I wanted more texture on this one and so glued some hessian which I had pulled about onto the canvass.
I spritz the paints over this once it was dry, and to tie it to my previous canvas, I added embossing powders and Frantage before the Matt medium was dry, and heated it to make it do its magic.
I prepared my butterfly and although I loved it I felt it wasn't right.
I painted it white but still wasn't happy
I took the butterfly off and folded it in half. I used it as a template and cut anther one out. I used the waste as a stencil with crackle paste. I used the heat tool, but before it was dry I used a pen lid to add some circles. Once completly dry I applied Antiquing Cream in burnt Umber. I loved the effect as I rubbed off the cream. This was complimented with Liquid Glass spread evenly over the butterfly and
then dried.
I hope you like it. Take care
Hugs Debs xx
You gotta love those media mister sprays, so vibrant, so colourful and they don't mix into mud, each keeps their own colour perfectly and as we can see here, really easy to mix and match, love the addition of the hessian, fantastic texture, lovely canvas Debs
