Hello and welcome everyone. Thanks for popping by today. It's a quick post to remind you of my new blog challenge which is based on the signs of the zodiac. All the main details and linky can be found here. 

The first challenge is Aquarius. You can interpret it anyway you want. It's a mixed media challenge so get your creative heads on and, you could win prize from DecoArt. This month is Antiquing Cream x3 and some other craty bits from me as its our first challeng.

So what is the zodiac?

   of the sun, moon, and most familiar planets. It is divided into twelve equal divisions or signs (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces).

And Wikipedia says

In both astrology and historical astronomy, the zodiac (Greek: ζῳδιακός, zōidiakos) is a circle of twelve 30° divisions of celestial longitude that are centered upon the ecliptic, the apparent path of the Sun across the celestial sphere over the course of the year. The paths of the Moon and visible planets also remain close to the ecliptic, within the belt of the zodiac, which extends 8-9° north or south of the ecliptic, as measured in celestial latitude. Because the divisions are regular, they do not correspond exactly to the twelve constellations after which they are named.

Historically, these twelve divisions are called signs. Essentially, the zodiac is a celestial coordinate system, or more specifically an ecliptic coordinate system, which takes the ecliptic as the origin of 

latitude, and the position of the Sun at vernal equinox as the origin of longitude.

Aquarius The Water Bearer

January 20 - February 18
Often simple and unassuming, the Aquarian goes about accomplishing goals in a quiet, often unorthodox ways. Although their methods may be unorthodox, the results for achievement are surprisingly effective. Aquarian's will take up any cause, and are humanitarians of the zodiac. They are honest, loyal and highly intelligent. They are also easy going and make natural friendships. If not 

kept in check, the Aquarian can be prone to sloth and laziness. However, they know this about themselves, and try their best to motivate themselves to action. They are also prone to philosophical thoughts, and are often quite artistic and poetic.

And to help those creative thoughts the lovely Mo also known as Massofhair kindly agreed to make something for today. I'd like to say a special thank you to Mo. She is always supportive and encouraging. She is extremely talented too, checkout all her creations here.
