Late Saturday play

I have had a relaxing day. I got my hair done earlier, came home and fell asleep, had something to eat and fell asleep again. But, I was missing playing. I am going out tomorrow and on training next weekend and on holiday the weekend after, oooh I couldn't cope so went into my room and this is what happened.

I really loved what Jo Myhill created earlier in the week on the Paper Artsy Blog. You can see Jo's here. I was very inspired by her work and thought I create something similar.
I used a A4 sheet of mount board and covered it with some paper I found in my stash.

I then distressed the edges with concord distress ink.

I used a Manila tag and added fresco acrylic paint in pansy, snowflake, taupe and lilac.

I loved how this looked and that you can just see the tag in places.

I also used some script from Paper Artsy ID08 and some flourishes from deep red used with cornflower archival ink

Now on my tag I stamped some more script and a face from stamper annonymous

I cut some more tags from Tim Holtz and distressed them I also cut some flowers from the tattered dies range and grunge flower from Paper Artsy which I painted.

And then finished it off with a sentiment and hung it with some ribbon.

Thank you so much for looking

  3. Wow Deborah this is beautiful. I loved Jo's project too but had vowed no more crafting until I had a good clean up in my craftroom. It's taken me all day and still not quite finished, lol! I love the colours you used and that face stamp is so lovely. The stamps you used in the background look great too.
