Hello crafty friends, thanks for popping in, especially as today is Friday, and that means it's 'show your face' over at at Kim Dellow's blog. Kim invites us to make a face and share; some months we have themes, and this month it's inspired by. I'm sharing a face today inspired by the lovely Darcy Wilkinson. Darcy is an amazing artist and designer, she teaches workshops and designs stamps for Paper Artsy as well as regularly demoing for them at all the big craft shows.
Darcy was a great inspiration to me as I started my crafty journey. Seeing her faces brought back my memories of drawing as a child. Always faces/ girls and flowers, never believing I was any good, I gave up. But as I learned more about this wonderful craft world I realised that it would be okay to start drawing again. Darcy advised me about online workshops which would be useful, etc, and I can say I've taken quite a few now, lol. So Darcy, thank you x. The face that inspired my piece today, can be found here, as well as lots of other wonderful art by Darcy, so please if you have the time pop over and have a look. Since I started my journey there have been loads of other wonderful people who have have inspired and influenced by development and I'm thankful to all of them too. Okay so here she is.
I loved painting her it was so much fun. The flowers and butterflies are from Kay Carey EKC 1&2 for Paper Artsy and the face was Fresco Acrylic paint also from PA. the background and flowers are watercolours by Ecoline.
If you would like to join in with Kim's show your face, follow this link. Have fun everyone and I'll see you soon. I'm also entering this into the Craft Stamper challenge for this month.
Take care as always
