Show your face Inspired by Julie Ann

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. Today is Art it Friday at Kim Dellows Place and Paint Party Friday.
For the month of August Kim has asked us to play along with an inspiration challenge. The idea is to choose a face from the other faces linked to Kim's site say who it was that inspired you.

For a while now I have been thinking about creating a Frida painting and when I saw the lovely Julie Ann's from Magpie Heaven face last week I just knew immediately that, now is the time!

I used DecoArt Americana range of acrylic paint in my journal. I included a photo video of the steps if you care see how she was created.

I hope you can play along too. See you soon

  1. Oh this was wonderful, and your choice to chose Magpie was great. I will chose one for next week when I get back from a shot sister week to celebrate her 80th birthday.

  2. Debs, I absolutely love your work too, as you can see by what has happened this week! It's really spooky! I decided late last night to do a picture inspired by you! I hadn't seen your blog and I just glimpsed this portrait on FB last night when I'd already decided to use your work as inspiration! I love, love, love your Frida! I think she would have adored the portrait too, as it is so full of colour, life and sensuality! It's fabulous, Debs. xxx
