I'm also linking it to paint Party Friday
Girls are a favourite of mine but I can get caught up in all sorts other art and not pay attention which they let me know by nagging away at me until I set them free.
You will see the first one which I've shared because she insisted on being free despite me trying to create a good background.
She is lovely. Happy PPF
ReplyDeleteThanks for comment Clare, and for mentioning PPF as only became aware through Kim's site. But now I know I shall try to enter every week x

Hi Susi thank you for your comment xx
DeleteLove both - the second looks happier;-) Well painted art.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment xx
DeleteNice video. I like the suggestion of using Photoshop to help create your art. She is lovely! Happy PPF
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan. I think using digital programmes in art is useful especially with this face as it allowed me to see the possibility of what I could do instead of sitting back and saying I wasn't happy with her. Hugs Debs xx
DeleteWow - she is BEAUTIFUL - loved seeing her up close on the video Debs. Well... I painted my first ever face this week and it's pretty sad... but... I (LITERALLY) made myself "go with it" so the project could be completed. Rather embarrassing but I am listening to all you GREAT face painters that say... I will get better. Heheheh - hope so!!! If I ever painted a face as beautiful as this one Debs - I would be OVER THE MOON beside myself! I especially love the "paint sprinkles" - they make her mysteriously alluring. You are an INCREDIBLY FABULOUS creator of personality!! Xj.

ReplyDeleteJoi, thank you for your lovely comment you are very kind. Practice and acceptance of your drawings/paintings I think is the key. I wasted so many years not enjoying art because I was so caught up in not being good enough. Through this wonderful creative community I have learnt that mark making is for me. I love the process and I'm happy to share my process and love that others could be inspired. All faces whether complicated or simple are worthy of sharing. I hope you find the courage to share soon. Hugs Debs xx
DeleteHaH I've had days like your first face.....but thankfully most are like your second pretty face. Love the deep rich colors, and the video was good. Thanks for the tour.
ReplyDeleteI like both the faces...you have a great, free style that I wish I could accomplish.
ReplyDeleteSo cool and the 2nd one is a total stunner <3
ReplyDeleteI really love the textures on this girl, Debs, I also like that her face got speckled with the black. It really creates texture even more. Her eyes are beautiful. She has so much soul in her face. She looks really sensuous and dramatic. I can imagine her being alive and having a definite character. xx
ReplyDeleteShe is really gorgeous...great video. I love how she turned out too!! The colorful girl is lovely as well! Gotta love purple and green together! They definitely have their own expressions!! Good job! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHus Giggles
I love the moody look of your wonderfully expressive girl!
ReplyDeleteLove them both Debs...the first looks like she is poking out her tongue, the second is very exotic looking :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteI love her!
ReplyDeleteI rather like the dark mystery of the first one, but the second is absolutely beautiful - amazing depth and character to her face, and the eyes are so expressive.
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
I'm so impressed with your faces Deb. The eyes are incredible.
ReplyDeleteI personally struggle with faces.
I hope you have a great creative week ;D
