New challenge at That's Crafty

Morning everyone and welcome. Thanks for popping by. Today I have a tag for you.

The new theme over at That's Crafty this week is 'Wishing on a star' there is some fanstastic inspiration from my wonderful teamies. They are such a talented bunch, so go check out all the different ways we thought of to inspire you, plus you could be our lucky winner and receive a wonderful prize.
Please read our Challenge Rules before entering.

My tag started with some UTEE in pearl to act as a resist and a Tim Holtz layering stencil

I then blended several distress inks over the stars.

I first stamped my feature which is from Prima onto the card but felt it did not show enough

So stamped it again and my sentiment both coloured with the distress ink.

I had decided that I wanted to use some organza to tie my tag and as I had a piece left over i put the heat gun on it and this is what I got.

You can just make out a little nest pocket at the top which I filled with a gem.

I assembled my sentiment

All together.

A different take upon wishing for things, as sometimes what we wish for isn't really what we want, as this quote states,

“consider the implications. We think we know what we want, but we can never really         know until we've got it. And sometimes when we have, we discover we never really wanted it in the first place - but then it's too late”

Well that's it for now, I will see you later with more creations, so until then take care, hugs Debs xxx

  2. This is a brilliant make I'm thinking I might need this stamp now too! You and Amanda are making it very hard to resist more stamp buying! Love the sentiment too, very true ;)

  3. Beautiful Debs! The pearl embossed stars worked really well as a resist and it leaves such a subtle shimmer, a great addition to your wonderful background! Love the heated organza, a great bit of distressing! hugs :)

  4. Great tag Debs, I've got this stamp but not inked it, fab inspiration.

  5. Oooh this looks great Debs, loving that background and how you re-stamped the main image xxx

  6. Terrific tag - love that image of the head, and the resist stars work brilliantly. Fab bit of organza to top it off too, though I must admit I rather like the overheated version!
