New challenge for Country View Crafts

Hello everyone, it’s been a while. I took a break to give myself some time to settle into my new home and just play for myself. Sometimes I find creating for a deadline can affect my creativity so its good to just play for yourself at times. Anyway I’m back with my inspiration for this month’s theme over at Country Views Crafts which is the on trend Artist Trading Coins. Yes they are everywhere!

So to be in with a chance of winning £20 to spend in the shop let’s see what you come up with.

My large tag

Created a crackle background with weather wood and tinting base from DecoArt

Then coloured the crackle with Distress Oxides from Ranger

I painted the Coins with the tinting base and applied the same colours of Oxide

I edged the Coins and tag with gold paint. Then built my layers, first old teabags then the coins.

To finish I die cut some flowers from Tim Holts Wild flowers and used the Oxides for colour. I used old book page from Rubber Dance
To add more interest.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial
I cannot wait to see what you create
Take care
Hugs xxx

  1. I Love this Debs! The colours of the crackled backgrounds, the colours of the flowers, the distressed look... everything comes together beautifully. And you're so right, creativity and deadlines...
