New Challenge

Morning everyone, yah! It's Friday and it's the first of April which must mean it's a new challenge over at Country View Crafts. The lovely Monica chose Spring for her Theme. How fabulous! The team have some wonderful inspiration for you, so hope you will be able to enter. If you win you get a £20 voucher to spend in the shop. Ooh I'm so excited, cannot wait to see what see what you all made. Here's my 1st creation for this month.

Let me talk you through what I did. Using coldpress watercolour paper I spritzed the card and while still damp added fluid watercolour paint from Ecoline. These are beautiful paints so vibrant. I allowed these to dry and then used White Acrylic to paint my flowers.

On top of the white paint I outlined the flowers with a black pen. I used a loose scribbled effect as I love this way of defining element. Each card was decorated slightly different but they all shared common themes, such as the colours and style. I edge the water colour paper and stuck them in place on the card.

I hand wrote my sentiments, partly because I want to use more of my own writing, and I also wanted them to be from me fully. I actually made two sets of cards, some I sent to my family and the others I abandoned in random places while on Holliday. I hope this encourages you get out the paints or pencils or pens, or all, whatever you like to creative with and create something which bring Spring you you.

Take care for now and I'll see you soon
